Goliath Grouper Fishing Charter - Goliath grouper are, pound for pound, the toughest, biggest, and baddest fish on the west coast of Florida.
Goliath Grouper average between 100 and 300 lb with larger fish on the upper end reaching 400 lb. Occasionally, fish as large as 700 lb have been caught off the west coast of Florida.
Goliath grouper inhabit shallow coastal waters as well as heavy structure in Sarasota Bay, such as bridges and reefs. On these trips, you will use highly specialized tackle designed to help protect this federally protected species, while also giving you the opportunity to hook into as many fish—and as large a fish—as possible.
The prime time to book a Goliath grouper trip is from late spring through summer and into early fall, when these fish are incredibly active and aggressive.
Due to their immense size, we recommend keeping the number of anglers on the boat to a minimum, typically limiting trips to two people.
