Frequently Asked Questions

What will we catch?

Sarasota waters are home to a variety of exciting nearshore and gulf fish species including Snook, Redfish, Pompano, Trout, Tarpon, Kingfish, Permit, Shark, Cobia, and Amberjack among others.

Some species are caught year round and others seasonally so each trip is different.

Can we keep the fish?

Yes, as long as the fish meet the legal requirements I will fillet and bag and bag them for you to take home. Always remember to limit your kills, don’t kill your limit.

What happens if the weather looks bad?

Safety is our highest priority. If there is excessive wind or lightning, the trip will not go and we will reschedule. Trips are always decided based on the captain's discretion.

Where do we get on the boat?

We meet at and sail from Centennial Park Boat Ramp on 10th St/US41

What should I bring?

  • Camera or smartphone for photos

  • Food and drinks to go in the onboard cooler

  • Sunscreen; note: no spray-on sunscreen allowed

  • Hat

  • Polarized sunglasses cut the glare of the water letting you see the fish better

* PLEASE NOTE * The equipment used aboard the Wild Mullet is high end, and therefore expensive to replace. Improper handling may lead to broken or lost equipment. Because of this we have a "you break it, you buy it policy." Please follow close attention to the instructions of your captain to avoid any issues.
